What is Avatar Nutrition?
In my introduction, I mentioned my diet. I wanted to discuss my experience with an up and coming online dieting coaching program. I started this dieting program at the beginning of the year. I have to say, I love it. For years, I had always struggled with my diet, I would ask myself the following questions:
- What’s a macro?
- What is the right amount of food I should be eating?
- My friend eats pizza almost every night, how is she still skinny?
DISCLAIMER: I am not part of the Avatar team, nor a dietitian, if you would like to seek advice on nutrition I would recommend checking with your physician, or if you have questions about Avatar Nutrition, please refer to their site by clicking on this link.
I have asked myself these questions since I was 16-years-old. I never felt secure in my skin, let alone in a bathing suit. I come from a Hispanic family, so the amount of food is endless and so delicious, but not always the best for you. Today, I am no longer self-conscious about what I eat as long as I maintain the right amount of macros(macronutrients) to be able to fuel my body correctly.
According to an article on globalhealingcenter.com, a “macro” or macronutrient are, “the largest class of nutrients the body requires and include protein, carbohydrates, and fats.” These three major nutrients are the base of what goes into your body. Avatar Nutrition requires you to first, fill out an overall goal whether it is Fat Loss, Muscle Gain, etc. What makes this program successful in my opinion is, there are no restrictions when deciding what kind of food you can eat. In the past, I have experimented with a no-carb diet, vegan diet, vegetarian diet and so on. I saw results, but I hated not eating the foods that I liked.
“I am a college student, I don’t have a mountain of money to spend on a fancy online diet program.”
That’s what I thought when I heard of Avatar, I thought it was going to cost me a months rent like all these other programs online, but for $9.99 a month, it was a deal, so I signed up. A diet program for only $9.99 a month? I thought to myself, “well if this program is only $9.99 a month it can’t be good.” I was wrong again, not only does Avatar provide a great program of information, videos, blogs and more when you join, you become part of the Avatar family. I joined the Avatar family on Facebook where I can ask any questions regarding my macros, or what kind food is low in fat and high in protein, plus recipes and more.
When it comes to health, I believe we will go above and beyond to make sure we have a healthy life, but it is hard when you are taking five classes and completing multiple assignments in one weekend. This program solves that problem, I mean it costs as much as your Netflix account, so why not try it?
